We are reviewing, grading and recommending commercial computer based robot STEM kits for children in different age groups and with different skill levels. Our goal is to help kids and their parents select the correct kit for their learning experience, and to help the kit manufacturers create better and higher quality kits.
Many manufacturers emphasize the mechanical, material and assembly aspects of the kits, and not investing sufficient time and effort in the build documentation, requsite software to make the robots operate and in the actual science, engineering, mathematics and programming lessons
associated with the robot.
